Field trip to Union Station

FIELD TRIP TO UNION STATION INTERMEDIATE II Westfield South at 7:00 a.m. On June 5th, 2015 my classmates, students from two other classes and three teachers went on a field trip to Union station in Washington D.C. We took the Red Line train in Wheaton metro station. Between the two stations there are six stops. The cost of the trip was $5.35 during rush hour. When we came back on regular hour the cost was $4.35. In Union station the teacher gave us a paper with some questions that we had to answer about how we got there, what is there, what is around, and what kind of transportation we can take there. We went to the information board. It has a map and information about stores. Union Station is a classical architectural building. There are 29 stores and restaurants. There we can take buses, taxis and train to other cities. There is also Amtrak at Union station. We went to Amtrak information desk and we got some information. Union Station is the center transportation for trains traveling to other states: Amtrak train from Washington D.C. to Miami, Florida, Boston, New York. Amtrak US is a government-owned passenger train service established in 1971 and operated by the national Railroad passenger corporation. There is business there all day. In Union Station, there were a lot of people, some taking the train to other cities, some taking the metro, bus or taxis, and others just visiting or eating at the restaurant or going to the restaurant. Outside of Union station, there is Liberty Bell. The original Bell is in Pennsylvania but this one is a replacement . It was used when the country got its independence from England, they rang on the original bell. It was a nice good trip. Students: Claudia Benavides, Leticia Cubeiro, Gianfranco Garcia, Gianmarco Garcia, Monica Gomez, Nancy Karina Huaranca, Tewodros Hundesa, Hirunya Niyomphol, and Nelido Pires, Thank You Ms Ketely!
