What I miss from my country.
People have always moved from one place to other, because the place they lived was unsatisfactory in some way or because they wanted to take a chance on finding something better. For the some reason I moved from Greece to the U.S.A.
I like to live here but there are some things that I miss from my country. For example, the culture. We have different culture from here. In my country visitors are very warmly welcomed, so the hospitality is necessary for us.
I like many of the things which I have seen in U.S.A. like shops, museums, national monuments, etc., but for me Greece means sea, sand, sun , fun and freedom. I don’t like here the weather especially in winter. It’s too cold. I like here the swimming pools which every community has, but I prefer the Mediterranean Sea.
Something else which I miss, is my independence. It’s hard to communicate, so I have problems in shopping or working. That’s why I need to ask people to help me, instead of being independent. Also I miss my friends and my relatives, my job and my co-workers.
After all, we are notorious for our coffee and for delicious Mediterranean cuisine
So there are a lot of things and situations that I miss for my country.

What do I miss about my country?
As for me, I am introvert, so in my life I have limited number of close friends. All of them are living in Ukraine. It is really hard to stay connected with them because of time difference and also life is going and everybody has their own problems and worries. We text each other in social networks but not too often. It is hard to stay close on a long distance.
I miss Ukrainian food. Certain kind of bread – black bread, which I can buy only over there. I know how it tastes and I sometimes still can smell it. I think it is flashbacks from my memory. Bread is definitely better in Ukraine.
I miss my country. I have so many memories – and good, and bad – anyway it is my Motherland. But now we are living in the United States, which I truly love too. I think that US is the land of opportunities. I think that my children will have better future over here, I can accomplish my goals, have better life.

Paraguay
What I miss the most about Paraguay is my family. I am the only one in my family living in the United States. My husband has some brothers and sisters living here. I also miss the food. I cook some of the traditional food but it is not the same. My community in Paraguay is very close and everyone is so friendly.
Traditional Food
