Field trip / cherry blossom
FIELD TRIP TO THE CHERRY BLOSSOM
Last Wednesday April 15, we went on a Field Trip to Washington, DC to visit and see the Cherry Blossom. There were 4 groups of classes who went to the field trip, there were 14 students for our class who went to the field trip one student wasn't able to come because she was sick. Students and teachers met in front of the school building, then we walked to the Metro Station some students bought their fare card, and some students didn't know how to use the machine We took the train and a good time sitting with our classmate outside the classroom. When we got to Smithsonian we took a lot of pictures. We walked around the Tidal Basin and pictures were taken again. Yukio Ozaki Mayor of Tokyo gave 3000 cherry trees in 1912. The President of U.S.A as a gift to the American. The original trees is 103 years old and still here. You can tell the age of the trees by the numbers of rings around the truck. The National Park services take care of pruning the specific branches, vitally, contributes to the over all health and appearance of the trees. The cherry blossoms are pale pink and white they are very beautiful but can not touch the flowers and can only admire.
